Karla & Evan
Richmond Beach, WA - It’s a beautiful August evening in the PNW. There’s a light breeze passing through the trees and drift wood that I’m sitting on as I overlook the a warm Puget Sound beach. An old friend from my industrial design days is about to propose in a few minutes. I spot them in the distance and the atmosphere is suddenly both serene and electrified at the same time.
Seeing as you’re here looking through the gallery and reading this, you know how it turned out already. :)
As I’ve mentioned in the past photographing life events is just like sports photography. Even when you know the people, and you know what’s about to happen, there’s still a rush in watching the moment unfold and trying to catch one split-second that could embody an entire relationship. One JPG may be a poor representation for all that is love and friendship, but it can be the still-frame that recalls an entire epic.
Congratulations Karla and Evan and thank you for letting me be a part of your moment!
