West Seattle Chinese Garden

I'd never heard of this place, even after living in Seattle for the past 10 years. It's a spectacular garden run by volunteers, and built out little by little as donations become available. Aside from the natural spaces, there is currently a small pagoda and courtyard constructed, The final goal will be to construct a multistory pagoda that will have a view of downtown Seattle.
I visited with some fellow studying photographers and worked through some chilly and windy long exposures. the garden was beautiful, but the hand carved features in the architecture with no fasteners got most of my attention. In a fortunate accident, capturing people's cell phones as they walked through the gate made for some 80s/ Ghostbuster inspired light painting.
