Ben's 350Z - BTS
Baton Rouge, LA - This 2008 350Z is symbolic for Ben. For him it marks the point when he became a “car guy”, an import fan, and when he started the journey of learning to mod and personalize his own JDM icon. This Z33 is modestly customized but Ben is responsible for every part of it. from the Tomei exhaust, suspension mods, and custom fenders, to the full wrap in an awesome midnight blue with a metallic flake that catches light just right.
I’ve worked with dark metal flake exteriors in the past they are often a challenge to light. When a “light painted look is desired, the illumination needs to be angled just right, and the car is illuminated section by section (if the light source is small like the single speedlite I used). The final exterior and interior composites were fun to assemble as always, and I opted for a background swap on the interior shot to maintain the pink sunset tones.
