Lunar Eclipse

Ft. Myers, FL - Not too much of a story here. After hearing about the upcoming astrological event, I did some quick planning including setting an alarm for 2AM Eastern Time. “2AM you say… on a work night?!” Yeah. I told you, this story is WILD.
In preparation I cleaned up my old A7 III and the Sony G Master 100-400mm, and planned some settings based on the Looney 11 rule. Some other crucial information like the exact time of maximum overlap, and potential cloud coverage at that moment was provided by TImeandDate.com, which had some helpful maps and visualizations.
So Friday morning at 2AM I wake up to my alarm, hop in the car and head north towards 6 Mile Slough in Ft Myers. Light pollution is pretty bad here, and I’m not trying to drive a half hour out and then back with work in 6 hours. But I find an open field far enough away from the developments and strip malls to minimize unwanted light. However it’s been getting more humid lately, and fog is heavy in the morning, which wasn’t ideal. But in the end, I successfully captured my shot and was able to denoise and upscale to a final product I’m happy with, and can print reasonably for an 11x14 inch frame.
