Jen's '86 Carrera 911

As a designer, I can't help but love the Porsche 911 design and brand. According to Motor Trend (yes I had to double check...), the 911 is the 7th oldest name plate in current production cars. The "design DNA" is so strong in the 911. While the car has evolved over the decades to meet the demands for more luxurious features, and implement new technology, the original formula is still clearly visible. Somehow, that iconic "window swoop" and line, running all the way out to round headlights has survived half a century of form refinement. Sorry, but I can't come up with any reasons to change up a classic.
Jen's 1986 Carrera 3.2 911 was a California car, that found its way up to Gig Harbor, WA. When we met at a small airfield near her home, I was immediately blown away by how clean the car was inside and out. The only modification was a modern stereo, and the original clear-coat-free Guards Red paint still provides rich highlights, shadows and reflections in the summer sunset.
