Lyndsey's 68 Coupe DeVille

I met Lyndsey at TEAGUE, the product and aircraft design consultancy we both work at. I knew she was an awesome engineer, and systems designer, but found out recently she's also a big fan of Caddys. As much as I like her CTS daily driver, this 68 Coupe DeVille named Reba is the star of the show.
The car is HUGE. Like... my strobe lights didn't reach halfway down the car, huge. To take this on, I called up a friend, Charlie Liu (check out his portraits on Instagram) to teach me a little about how he lights environmental portraits. His recent shots have focused on cosplayers, and usually involve elaborate costumes, and capturing poses and motion in all kinds of lighting environments. Hilariously, Charlie and I started aiming lights using my 93 NA6 Miata, but had to almost double the distances when Reba showed up.
Lyndsey even dressed the part, and was happy to try shooting some portraits with the car. Normally, I lean heavily on compositing when lighting stationary cars. Setting up to lights for a portrait, and background was a new and fun challenge.
