REDMOND, WA - I’ve know Catherine since college. She’s an amazing designer with a crazy amount of motivation and drive. When she told me she was getting into lifting and all its self-improvement and competitive challenges, I wasn’t surprised. Then, when she told me that women were greatly underrepresented in the lifting apparel market; and that she had a solution, I was also unsurprised.

In dead lifting, knee-high athletic socks are used to minimize injury from striking the bar. In minor cases, an improperly lifted, or falling bar can easily strike the leg and break skin. To reduce the medical (and gross-ness) risk of getting blood all over the mats and equipment, socks are recommended and sometimes required.

Dead Lift Belle was founded to produce necessary lifting apparel, that did not conform to the existing high-testosterone aesthetic of the sport. Follow @DLBelle on Instagram for upcoming designs and products!
