Brian's Countryman

Brian's Countryman

SEATTLE, WA - I admit that I used to hate these. I mean… you’re buying a Mini Cooper… a Mini. why would you get a giant Mini… and what do you need 4WD for?! I suppose my mind was already being changed, but Brian’s simple daily driver really sold me on the Cooper S Countryman. Brian’s Cooper sits on coilovers with a mild drop: just right for city driving on Seattle’s rough roads, a the occasional weekend camping trip. Despite the ground clearance, he has a set of sharp looking OEM wheels fitted nicely in the flared fenders.

The contrast between Light White (yes that’s the paint’s name… what’s lighter than white and cooler than cool???) and the gloss black top is striking and gives the appearance of long sweeping proportions, despite the car’s bulk relative to the standard Cooper. Looking at the all black leather interior, I can see why Brian picked one of these as his go-to for sporty but practical comfort. Now if only I could get used to that classic Mini gauge cluster… :)
