Bambas 2019
WEST SEATTLE, WA - I had the pleasure again of working with Fenix Capoeria again this year to capture their Bambas event again this year! Thees events celebrate the arrival of contramestres (capoeria masters) from around the world, and the accomplishments of the local students and rising instructors.
Along with capoeria exhibitions by the contramestres, Fenix’s school included maculelê performances; a dance based on a machete/stick fighting tradition.
